Our artificial intelligence roadmap: Claude Code caring for the site
Drapery Life is integrating artificial intelligence into its operations, starting with its own website. We tell you what Claude Code will do, what it won't do, how we supervise its work, and what comes next.

We want to be open about it, before you notice: Drapery Life is bringing artificial intelligence into the way we operate. Not as a trend label, but as a practical work tool, with defined tasks, clear limits, and people responsible for every decision.
The first place we're doing this is this very website.
Claude Code: The Site's Technical Lead
Claude Code is an AI programming agent developed by Anthropic. Unlike a chat assistant, it works directly on the code: it reads how the platform is built, proposes changes, tests them, and publishes them following a defined procedure.
Going forward, Claude Code will be responsible for maintaining the Drapery Life site and creating its own automations to keep it up to date. In practice, that means:
- Ongoing maintenance: checking links, forms, performance, and mobile compatibility.
- Catalog and pricing updates based on official factory information.
- Automations: quote follow-ups, reminders, and internal reports that used to depend on manual tasks.
- Content and SEO: keeping the data Google and other search engines use to understand the site well organized.
- New features, built and documented to the same standard.
AI does the work; people decide which work is worth doing.
What It Won't Do
What it doesn't do matters just as much as what it does. Claude Code works under the direction of our team and with explicit rules:
- It does not make business, pricing, or policy decisions on its own: it proposes them, and a person approves them.
- It does not send real messages to clients without authorization from our team.
- It makes a backup before every change and keeps a record of what it did and why.
- It does not store passwords or keys inside the code or share them.
AI takes care of
- Repetitive, verifiable tasks.
- Reviewing, testing, and documenting.
- Catching problems before the customer does.
People take care of
- Design, judgment, and final quality.
- The relationship with each client.
- Approving every important decision.
The Roadmap
- Today · the site. Claude Code maintains, tests, and improves the platform, with human review.
- Coming soon · an agent for operations. An administrative assistant that helps our team with follow-ups, scheduling, and daily reports.
- Later · client assistance. A design assistant that helps you choose fabrics and light levels and answers questions at any hour, with a person always available if you prefer.
- Future · visualization. Tools to see how curtains would look in photos of your own space before you decide.
Each stage will arrive when it's ready, not before. We prefer to launch less and do it well.
Why We're Sharing This
We believe a brand that uses artificial intelligence should say so clearly. If you ever chat with an automated Drapery Life assistant, you'll know it. And if anything doesn't feel right to you, there will always be a member of our team to help you.
This Journal will be the log of that journey. Subscribe to the newsletter and we'll tell you about every step forward.
