Our Drapes & Fabric

Drapery Life currently offers custom RippleFold drapes — the most modern, minimalist pleat style available. RippleFold creates a uniform wave pattern across the panel, giving any room a clean, high-end look. We manufacture in three fabric classes: Sheer, Translucid, and Blackout.

RippleFold is a drapery style where the fabric is evenly distributed along a track in a continuous, rippling wave pattern. Unlike traditional pinch pleat or eyelet curtains, RippleFold panels slide smoothly on a dedicated track system, stack neatly when open, and maintain a perfectly uniform look when closed.

Sheer fabric allows soft, diffused natural light to pass through while maintaining a degree of privacy — ideal for living rooms and common areas. Translucid fabric provides a middle ground: it filters light and increases daytime privacy without making a room feel dark. Blackout fabric uses a dense weave designed to significantly reduce outside light entering a room — perfect for bedrooms, nurseries, and home offices.

No fabric blocks 100% of light. Our Blackout fabric is engineered to provide a strong room-darkening effect and significantly reduce outside light. Light may still enter around the edges of the drape depending on your window frame, track placement, and return depth. For maximum light control, we recommend proper mounting placement and using returns on your track. We do not claim total blackout.

Manufacturing limits vary by fabric class. Minimum width is 15 inches and minimum height is 36 inches for all classes. Maximum height: Sheer fabrics can be manufactured up to 118 inches tall. Translucid and Blackout fabrics have a maximum height of 110 inches. Maximum width is determined by your track system. All orders are made to your exact measurements within these limits.

Yes. Our fabric selection is curated with South Florida's intense sunlight, humidity, and salt air in mind. Generic off-the-shelf fabrics can fade or degrade quickly in high-UV environments. Our fabric classes are selected for durability in tropical and subtropical climates.

Measuring & Ordering

You need two measurements: width (horizontal) and height (vertical drop), both in inches. For width, measure from where you plan to mount the left bracket to where you plan to mount the right bracket — this is typically wider than the window frame itself for proper coverage. For height, measure from the track mounting point to the desired bottom of the drape. See our full Measuring Guide for diagrams and step-by-step instructions.

Yes. If your ZIP code is within our South Florida service area, you can request an Expert Visit. A specialist will come to your home, take precise measurements, bring fabric samples, and provide a personalized recommendation. The Expert Visit is a paid service that may be credited toward a qualifying custom drapery order.

Because all drapes are custom-manufactured to your exact specifications, we cannot accept returns due to incorrect measurements. We strongly recommend using our Measuring Guide and double-checking your numbers before submitting. If you are unsure about your measurements, booking an Expert Visit is the safest option — our specialist does the measuring for you.

Pricing is based strictly on the width of each drape panel (measured in linear inches). Each fabric class has a per-inch price, with a minimum billable width. Height does not affect price, but it does affect manufacturing limits. You will see a full price breakdown — drape cost, optional installation, and shipping — before you submit any request.

No. Height does not affect the price of your custom drapes. However, height does affect manufacturing feasibility: Sheer fabric has a maximum height of 118 inches, while Translucid and Blackout fabrics have a maximum of 110 inches. If your measurement exceeds these limits, you will need to split the installation into multiple panels.

Yes. You can configure and request quotes for each window or room individually. Each panel is measured and priced independently. If you have multiple windows in the same room, we recommend measuring each separately for accuracy.

Expert Visit

An Expert Visit is an in-home appointment where a Drapery Life specialist comes to your home, takes precise measurements of your windows, shows you real fabric samples, and provides a personalized recommendation for your drape configuration. It is ideal for homeowners who are unsure about measuring or want professional guidance before ordering.

No. Submitting an Expert Visit request is not an automatic booking. Our team reviews all requests and contacts you to confirm availability before the visit is scheduled. The visit is only confirmed once our team reaches out to you directly.

The Expert Visit is a paid service. Depending on the current promotion and order eligibility, the visit fee may be credited toward a qualifying custom drapery order. This credit is not a cash refund. Eligibility and terms are confirmed by our team before checkout.

If your ZIP code is outside our coverage area, we cannot currently offer in-home visits, but you can contact us on WhatsApp and our team may be able to suggest alternatives.
