How to Measure Drape Width

Width determines your price per linear inch. Measure to the nearest 1/8 inch — precision matters.

What width means

Width is the horizontal dimension of your drape panel — measured in inches. It represents the full width of the track span, not the window frame. This is the measurement we use to calculate your price per linear inch.

Minimum and maximum width

Minimum fabrication15 inches
Minimum billing36 inches (charged at 36" even if physical width is less)
Maximum widthContact us for very wide panels (over 200")

By mount type

🧱 Wall or Ceiling Mount: Measure the length of the track you plan to install. Extend 6–12 inches on each side of the window frame to ensure full coverage when closed.
🔲 Recessed: Measure the inner width of the recess at the opening (front, not the back). Subtract 1" for clearance (so the panel doesn't bind on the recess walls).
🚪 Free Space: Measure the full span of the track — from end bracket to end bracket.

Tips for accuracy

Use a rigid metal tape measure, not a fabric tape
Measure at least twice — ideally at top and bottom of the window opening
Record to the nearest 1/8 inch (e.g., 84-3/8")
If two measurements differ, use the larger one for full coverage
