DIY Installation Warranty
What's covered — and what's not — when you install your drapes yourself.
1. Product Warranty
Drapery Life products are warranted against manufacturing defects for 1 year from the date of delivery. This warranty applies to both DIY-installed and professionally-installed drapes.
Manufacturing defects covered:
- Incorrect fabric (different from ordered class)
- Significant dimension discrepancy (more than 1/4" from ordered dimensions)
- Fabric defects visible at normal viewing distance
- Wave/pleat attachment failure not caused by installation
2. What Is Not Covered
The following are not covered under this warranty:
- Damage caused by incorrect installation (e.g., falling drapes due to improper anchoring)
- Damage from excessive sunlight exposure, humidity, or salt air
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage from machine washing, bleaching, or chemical treatment
- Customer measurement errors (incorrect width or height ordered)
- Damage to walls, ceilings, or structures caused during DIY installation
3. DIY Installation Disclaimer
If you choose to install your drapes yourself, you accept full responsibility for:
- Correct installation of the track/rail system
- Appropriate anchoring into studs or with appropriate wall anchors
- Any damage to walls, ceilings, or structures
- Ensuring the panel hangs level and operates correctly
Drapery Life is not liable for property damage resulting from DIY installation. Follow our Installation Guide carefully.
4. Warranty Claims
To make a warranty claim, contact Support with your order number and photos of the defect. Claims are reviewed within 5 business days. Approved claims result in replacement of the defective product at no charge.
5. Professional Installation Warranty
If you added professional installation, a separate installation workmanship warranty applies. The installation team is responsible for proper track mounting and panel hanging. See your installation confirmation email for workmanship warranty details.
